Blé sucré - bakery 5 stars
May 3rd, 2007 by Paris Delices
There was this simple facade hidden behind the square Trousseau which briefly peeked my interest as I was skipping over to the Marché d’Aligre to buy some regional products. When I parked myself in front of the large glass window I spied the the homemade delicacies - baba au rhums, chocolate eclairs, and buttery croissants. Since the door was propped open, I took this as an invitation to enter and order. A polite woman, dressed in white, was happy to serve me and as I scanned the shelves for something delicious to eat I began to wonder why the name “Blé Sucré” was so familiar. With pastries as delicate as these, I was certain that the pastry chef was a master of his meter.
Before opening Blé Sucré, fanciful pastry chef, Fabrice Le Bourdat, spent several years fine tuning his skill at the Plaza and Le Bristol. His chocolate eclair and butter croissant were recently selected by participants and judges at Figaro magazine and Régal magazine described Blé sucré as a “pâtisserie 5 stars”.
With such a large choice of unique and sweet creations, Blé Sucré is certain to attract Parisians, and of course, the very curious foreigner.
